A day in Badalona

Hola everybody!! Welcome to a new blog post. Today I will talk about Badalona. Badalona is a city in Catalonia very nearby Barcelona. The city is located next to the sea and I can highly recommend you all to visit it and see the beauty yourself!

Badalona Center

 Badalona is a nice city to visit for a few days or even just a nice day-trip. Personally I really love Barcelona and its beaches and beautiful city center but it is sometimes a little bit too crowded for me. Badalona is smaller but also has some great beaches and some nice stores to do some shopping!

Near the beach

Badalona is very easy to reach by bus, metro or train. If you are planning to go there directly via the centre in Barcelona I recommend you taking the train since it is a lot faster and it doesn’t have so many stops. From other places it depends what is easier, I live in Poblenou and I like to take the metro. If you want to go to Badalona you will have to take the purple line (L2). The metro stop that you will need is called Badalona Pompeu Fabra. This is also the ending stop of the purple line.

In Badalona you can find some shopping malls and also near the metro station is a big street with numerous shops! You can easily spend a day or even a couple of days and wander around in the beautiful streets here! I love to just have a walk and see where I end up and a lot of times you will find some beautiful places.

The beach in Badalona is great and is a little less crowded in comparison to the beaches in Barcelona. You can spend a whole day here while enjoying the sun and have a nice swim! After a day at the beach I recommend you to find a nice restaurant or bar next to the beach! Here are numerous nice affordable places where you can sit on the terrace and enjoy a nice meal and or beverage in the sun.
