Shopping in Barcelona

Buenos Dias everyone, in this blog post I would like to talk about shopping in Barcelona! I will talk about both the city center and I will also include some of the big shopping centers that can be found in Barcelona!! As I have said before Barcelona has a lot to offer and in your free time it is nice to do some shopping!

City center

Barcelona’s city center is beautiful and huge! It offers you a big variety in stores from the well-known brands like Zara, Bershka, H&M to very small but nice boutiques. The center itself is also very nice to see, it is a combination of a very cultural center with a modern twist. Personally I love the area El Born, here you can find all sorts of little stores, they are almost hidden within all the beautiful streets so make sure you have a look there. El Born is within approximately 10-15 minutes walking from La Rambla. I will enclose some pictures that will show some of the beautiful streets in the city center. You can easily spend a whole day here and you still haven’t seen everything!

Diagonal Mar

Diagonal Mar is a big shopping mall that is located in Poblenou. Most stores here are open from 10 a.m. till 10 p.m. In this mall you can find over 200 shops dedicated to Fashion, Catering, Entertainment and other services. Here you can find a lot of big brands and in addition to this, you can find Primark. Primark is not located in the city center so numerous people visit Diagonal Mar for the Primark. In the top floor you can find a lot of nice restaurants and places to have a drink as well as a cinema and a gaming hall. On Sundays the shops aren’t open but the restaurants on the top floor are! Diagonal Mar also has a nice space outside to enjoy your food and drinks and have a nice time in the sun.

Centre Les Glories

Glories is a nice shopping mall located next to the Agbar Tower. Opening times are also from 10 a.m. till 10 p.m. Some stores are similar to Diagonal Mar but there is also some variety! In Glories you can find a big food court where they serve all sorts of fresh made food from numerous different kitchens! I can recommend this if you love food as much as I do. In this mall you can also find Carrefour a huge supermarket where you can find everything you need.

Centro Comercial Maremagnum

This shopping mall is the only place in Barcelona that is also open on Sundays! This Shopping mall offers some great shops and is located next to the harbor “Port Vell”. This location is great to enjoy a nice beverage and sit next to the water! There is also a very cool lounge club on the top floor of the mall. The views that you can see in this mall are amazing and I can really recommend you to go here if you have the time!

I am not saying that these places are the best places to go shopping but personally I enjoy all of these spots and as you can see in the pictures, it is truly beautiful. Barcelona offers numerous great other shopping areas and in every district you can find some nice and cool shops! If you like shopping, you definitely came to the right place.
